Volunteer Information Meeting

As we draw close to October and absentee ballot mailing, there will be many opportunities to volunteer your time to help make the final push to November 3. We have scheduled a campaign meeting for Saturday, September 26, from 1pm to 3pm at the Mukilteo City Hall. Discussion items include: postcard mailing and hand-messaging campaign, follow up calling to yes voters, campaign signs, and areas where we should target our vote yes message for the next five weeks. Other topics may be announced at the meeting.

Join Charlie "The Noiseguy" Williams and Nancy Stewart for an afternoon of noisy fun, laughter and music to support the "Yes for Libraries" campaign. You won't want to miss the guest appearances from some of your favorite children's authors and entertainers, such as Pierr Morgan. Other special guests to be announced. Music by Chance of Rain. $3 child/$5 adult/$10 family. Event starts at 2pm, on Saturday, September 19, 2009.

Aug. 27, 2009 - Trinity Lutheran Church (Freeland, WA)
Event Update: The meeting was led by Cheryl Telford and attended by staff and library supporters; the group discussed ways to support the campaign including calling voter lists, organizing a fundraising event on Whidbey Island featuring local performers, and a having an information table at the local farmer's market.
Whidbey after hours campaign get together, Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the older church closest to highway 525. For supporters traveling north on highway 525, turn left on Woodard Avenue and go around the newer building and through the parking lot. Supporters traveling south on highway 525 can turn right directly into the older building's parking area. More information is available on our Facebook page.
